I’m mostly a country boy, but when I want culture and city life, I head to San Francisco. I love the people, the sounds, the great parks, the delicious food. And I mostly walk around the city, even if I have to go several miles; it’s a form of urban hiking. San Francisco is great for hikers!
Our San Francisco Bay Area House-Sitters Site
As many of you know, Stephanie and I house-sit in and around the San Francisco Bay Area during the colder months. I created a one-page site to help us find good situations about a year ago, and now it’s paying off: we just spent a couple of weeks house-sitting in SF and the people found us through a Google search. We took care of two great dogs and we walked, and walked, and walked.
And Now We Have a Blog
We just added a blog to the site and wrote our first post about our recent experience as house-sitters in San Francisco’s Cole Valley. Please click the link and read about our adventures and how we took care of the two boxers and the beautiful home.
And if you’re so inclined, you can subscribe to the blog. (See the instructions on the site.) We’ll post 1-2 times a month with a mix of our personal experiences and advice about how to best take care of people’s pets and homes.
And We’re Looking for Opportunities Now…
The site has all the details, but it in a nutshell:
- We sit in homes ranging from the north counties of the Bay Area (Napa, Sonoma) all the way down to the Monterey Peninsula, including Santa Cruz.
- We’ll also consider beautiful parts of southern California, Arizona, and even Hawaii.
- Our time frame is November through March, although we do go to San Francisco other times of the year (like we just did in Cole Valley) because we love it there so much.
- We have a lot of experience and excellent references.
- We usually don’t charge.
Please send anyone you know that could be interested to the website. We’d greatly appreciate your help!
