As some of you may know, much of the Shasta-Trinity National Forest<\/a> was clobbered by a major snowstorm in early January of 2010 that downed thousands of trees and tree limbs. It has definitely affected some of the trails in the Trinity Alps, and the actual extent of blocked trails and hiking access roads is still unclear.<\/p>\n

If you plan to hike on the Shasta-Trinity National Forest, or the nearby Klamath National Forest, be sure to check with the appropriate ranger district for the conditions of trails and roads.
