I’m pleased that the Northern California Hiking Trails blog has garnered some online attention recently. Tom Mangan’s Bay Area hiking blog Two-Heel Drive gave me a mention<\/a>:<\/p>\n

Soares has an excellent hiking blog<\/span><\/a> for the Shasta-Trinity region of northern California.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Tom has a top-notch blog\/website that describes a ton of Bay Area hikes; you’ve got to check it out if you are planning a visit to the Bay Area, or if you just want to see some beautiful photos and read some good writing.<\/p>\n

And I googled myself today (felt good!) and found out that I’d gotten some\u00a0nice press from Renee Casterline over at the Siskiyou County Visitors’ Bureau<\/a> website:<\/p>\n

I just learned about John Soares\u2019 www.northerncaliforniahikingtrails.com<\/span><\/a> – a great resource for those looking to hike in Siskiyou County and the rest of Northern California. The website encourages viewers to purchase his books, and it also include his blog<\/span><\/a>, where you can read about recent adventures and seasonal hiking options.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Freelance writer and photographer Renee Casterline is one of the many talented people who choose to\u00a0live in the beautiful Mount Shasta area. She’s the co-author with Jane English of Mount Shasta Reflections<\/em> and has also written numerous magazine articles.<\/p>\n

And the Siskiyou County Visitors’ Bureau<\/a>\u00a0has a wealth of information about all the fun things to do in Siskiyou County, including descriptions of several local hikes.<\/p>\n
