They do a lot of work to protect the watersheds of the Upper Sacramento River and also the McCloud River (including <a href=\"https:\/\/northerncaliforniahikingtrails.com\/blog\/2021\/05\/20\/mccloud-falls-trail-hiking-waterfalls\/\">the stretch with the trail to Lower, Middle, and Upper Falls<\/a>, and they actively build and maintain hiking trails (most recently the Tauhindauli River Trail extension).<\/p>\n<p>The River Exchange is holding a fundraiser this weekend. I strongly encourage you to go, have a good time, and give them some support.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s the press release:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><!-- [if gte mso 9]><xml> Normal   0 <\/xml><![endif]--><\/p>\n<p>The River Exchange&#8217;s annual fun-raiser <em>River Celebration<\/em> is happening this Saturday evening, June 6, at 6:00 p.m. at the Mount Shasta City Park Upper Lodge.\u00a0 This year&#8217;s event is geared to <em>&#8220;go with the flow&#8221;<\/em> with lower ticket prices, BBQ or vegetarian dinner, lots of affordable silent auction items (including select wines from a former board member&#8217;s private cellar), no-host beer\/wine bar, and music by Jack Taforo.\u00a0 Proceeds from this event help support the River Exchange&#8217;s ongoing watershed restoration, education and community involvement programs.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets for the event are $35.00 each, or two for $65.00, and can be purchased at Village Books in Mt.
