Northern California hikers and travelers know that our part of the world has a lot of hot springs, some we hike to and some we drive to. Well, Japan also has some great hot springs, and it also has Japanese snow monkeys that love nothing better than to stave off the winter chill by soaking in the steaming waters.<\/p>\n

Here’s the link to the article in Britain’s Daily Mail<\/em> newspaper<\/a>. And here’s a bit of what the article says:<\/p>\n

Most monkeys are happy swinging in the trees of tropical jungles but from the look on the face of this one there is nothing like indulging in a hot bath after a long day.<\/p>\n

Nicknamed the snow monkey, the cheeky-looking animals live a much chillier existence than their tropical cousins and they appear to like nothing better than keeping warm in steaming-hot pools such as this one.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
