We also want the region to thrive and stay healthy, and to that end you should consider attending the Sierra Nevada Alliance Annual Conference in South Lake Tahoe on August 27th and 28th, 2010:<\/p>\n

The Sierra is a foundation of California and Nevada\u2019s prosperity \u2013 supplying clean water, energy, and recreational refuge to millions. In the face of a growing population, changing climate, and degrading natural resources the Sierra Nevada will need to be resilient.
