Writing a Northern California hiking guidebook for Mountaineers Books always involves lots of phone calls, emails, and visits with the trail supervisors, forest rangers, and visitor center staff who know the most about the trails in their jurisdiction. And quite often these same people read drafts of my hike descriptions for accuracy and to make sure I included all the important information so that you, the hiker, get the most out of your hike. (And some even point writing errors, which I appreciate!)

My Deepest Thanks to All of You Trail Supervisors, Rangers, and Visitor Center Staff
…for sharing your time, expertise, and wisdom. I truly appreciate it! Here is a list of all the people (and most are also mentioned in the acknowledgements section of one or more of my hiking guidebooks). I give their affiliation at the time I last interacted with them; some have transferred to other places, and some have retired.
