Why The Lonely Doe in My Yard?

by John Soares on August 4, 2010

A solitary doe has been spending time lately around my house in Lake Shastina (just north of Mount Shasta). Most of the deer I see around here are in small groups of three to ten or fifteen.

The doe appears healthy and normal as far as I can tell. Why is she getting dissed by all the other deer around here?

Your explanation/speculation?
