McCloud Falls Group Hike on May 22

by John Soares on May 17, 2010

Join the Mount Shasta Trail Association for a group hike to three spectacular waterfalls on Saturday, May 22. It’s an  easy romp on the 4-mile roundtrip river trail in the McCloud Falls area.

The hike along the McCloud River begins  at the powerful Lower Falls. We’ll walk upstream to the impressive, cascading Middle Falls, 70 feet wide and 35 feet high.  Then on to Upper Falls and beyond to Lakin Dam.

There’s no charge and we’ll return by 3 in the afternoon.  Meet at the Fish Hatchery in Mount Shasta where Lake Street meets Old Stage Road (central exit) on Saturday, May 22, at 9 a.m. Bring lunch and water. We will return around 3 in the afternoon. Call Joan Roemer at 926-0647 if you have questions.
