Gambolin’ Man’s New Mexico Ramble

by John Soares on April 24, 2010

Gambolin’ Man has posted another of his hiking/philosophical essays. And even though he’s not talking about the state of California, he happens to cover one of my favorite places in the world: New Mexico:

Ah, we have seen so much in so short a time span, or so little in such a vast time span, and have borne witness to and participated in infinite change and variation through the shifting sands of a thousand million years. The places we have missed – Carlsbad Caverns National Park, Aztec Ruins National Monument, Capulin Volcano National Monument, Taos Pueblo, Ojo Caliente Hot Springs, Roswell alien adventures – give us a dozen excuses to return. Someday, in another time, whenever it might be, we will.

I especially like all the photos!
