Sept 3: Sky High Lakes:
Let’s get an earlier start due to the long drive and hike to these beautiful lakes in the Marble Mountainss from Lovers Camp. Have not done this hike since 2004. AD: 12 miles THE: 4,000′ AEG: 1,800′ PMP: Yreka Mall/Meamber School T: 8:00 am/8:30 am.
Sept 10: Caldwell Lakes:
Hike to two lovely small lakes below China Mountain. Beautiful views of Mt. Shasta. Those more ambitious can hike to China Peak (elev 8,500′) an additional 1,240′ gain from the upper lake. AD: 5+ miles THE: 5,800′ AEG: 1,800′ PMP: Edgewood Junction T 8:30 am.
Sept 17: Kidder Lake:
An early fall hike to a small but beautiful lake. AD: 8 miles THE: 5,800′ AEG: 1,100′ PMP: Yreka Mall/Greenview Grange. T: 8:30 am.
Sept 24 – 27: Lake Britton Campout:
See details on page 2. Those wishing not to campout can hike Black Butte, or Gray Rock Lakes, 5 or 6 miles, elevation gain 1,850′ or 1,000′ respectively. AD: 6-8 miles daily THE: 2,800′ AEG: 500′ – 1,000′ PMP: Mt. Shasta Fish Hatchery T: 9:00 am.
