Feb 5: Scott Mtn Snowshoe and/or Ski:
Bring your cross country skis or snowshoe’s to enjoy the wilderness in the snow starting from the Highway 3 Scott Mtn Summit / Alternate activity is to hike Matterson Road through scenic and slightly hilly ranch/mini-estate country just east of Callahan. Snow patches or mud may be present. AD: 5-6 miles/6-8 miles THE: 5,400′/3,300′ AEG: 900′/600′ PMP: Callahan T: 9:00 am.
Feb 12: Butcher Hill:
See the Chinese Cemetary and overlook Yreka. No host lunch at some Yreka restaurant after hike. AD: 5.5 miles THE: 2,640′ AEG: 500′ PMP: Yreka Mall T: 9:00 am.
Feb 19: Little Castle Creek:
View Castle Grag from the north side. Walk up dirt roads along Little Castle Creek from the Railroad Park Motel. AD: 6 miles THE: 2,350′ AEG: 1,000′ PMP: Mt. Shasta Fish Hatchery T: 9:00 am.
Feb 26: Masterson Road:
A hike through slightly hilly ranch and mini-estate country near Callahan. Snow patches or mud may be on the road. AD: 6-7 miles THE: 3,300′ AEG: 400-800′ PMP: Callahan T: 9:00 am.
