Tom Chandler, head wrangler over at the Trout Underground Fly Fishing Blog, was out on the Upper Sacramento River during the recent rains. The precip had turned the water a bit murky, which made for some mediocre fishing. So Tom took some stunning close-up photos of autumn leaves.

I fished a while - hitting the bank with a big October Caddis dry - then took a few pictures and drove into Dunsmuir where I lobbied the Burger Barn to add the slaw dog (the Official Tube-Shaped Processed Meat Meal of the Underground) to the menu.
