Fall Colors in Lithia Park in Ashland, Oregon

by John Soares on October 30, 2008

My sweetheart Stephanie and I spent three days in Ashland over the last weekend. Ashland, located just north of the Oregon border, is where Siskiyou County residents go for culture. Ashland has a justly famous Oregon Shakespeare Festival that runs most of the year, plus a bunch of great restaurants and a lot of friendly people.

And it also has Lithia Park. Stephanie and I walked hand-in-hand there on Saturday with perfect conditions: fall colors at their peak, temperature at 75 degrees, very light wind. And I just happened to have my camera!

Hi Kelvin!

Yes, I was fortunate to have perfect conditions that day. That particular photo has reflections of the gorgeous trees on the other side of the pond.

I really like your site. Readers, give a click on Kelvin’s name to visit his http://www.MountHiking.com hiking and camping website.

John,
You are quite a photographer! You live life.
Tell Eric the merry misfit says good tidings. I always laugh when I remember him telling me “And a hearty f**k you to you too!” This “merry misfit” has his float plan ready for an ambitious paddle. 59 I am now. His portrait on Bask is one of an intrepid explorer.
I’m going back to look at those photos. Is it a Canon camera. I do miss those days on dirt bikes, girls and math problems. Say hi to Steph please.
Sid
