Bart Smith gets around!

What a life. A tip of my wide-brimmed hat to Bart for a life so well lived, and for sharing his stunning photos with the world.

Here in the upper reaches of Northern California, folks are very excited about through-hiking the Pacific Crest Trail. But Bart’s done that and so much more:

Appalachian Trail (AT) – 2,175 miles
Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) – 2,650 miles
Florida Trail (FT) – 1,400 miles
Ice Age Trail (IAT) – 1,000 miles
Natchez Trace Trail (NTT) – 500 miles
Potomac Heritage Trail (PHT) – 990 miles
North Country Trail (NCT) – 4,600 miles
Continental Divide Trail (CDT) – 3,100 miles

Visit Bart Smith’s hiking and photography site Walking Down a Dream to find out more and to view some of his gorgeous photos. (Find out more about the National Trails System here.)

Walk on, Bart.
