TrailsTV has put together a great list of the Top 10 Lake Tahoe Hikes. Have a look and see if your favorite made the list. You can also add your own two cents and nominate your own top hike.
They also just compiled the Top 10 Hikes in the United States. How many of them have you done? I’ve been on three, and my favorite is the Kalalau Trail on the island of Kaua’i in Hawai’i. I lived on Kaua’i for three years, from 1996 to 1999, and the Kalalau Trail was one of my favorite places. (Koke’e Canyon/Waimea Canyon is also a must-do.)
I once snorkeled from Ke’e Beach along the cliffs to Hanakapi’ai Beach and then hiked up to Hanakapi’ai Falls and back to my car at Ke’e Beach. Don’t attempt this yourself unless you are extremely comfortable being in the open ocean with no way out while you snorkel for over a mile. It can be very dangerous or fatal for those who do not have the required skills or mindset. And the locals always asked me if I saw tiger sharks. I didn’t.
