Hike to Seven Lakes Basin on the Pacific Crest Trail

by John Soares on September 1, 2008

Ah, September in the high country. A few warm days, many cooler days, the first frost, the first blush of autumn color. Explore these contrasts on an easy six-mile, round-trip hike along the Pacific Crest Trail to Seven Lakes Basin, one of my favorite spots in the Klamath Mountains east of Mount Shasta. Do a dayhike or schlepp your backpack for an overnighter.

Download the hike from the Northern California Hiking Trails Article page at our main sister site http://www.northerncaliforniahikingtrails.com/.
